My brother and I recently became proud owners of a circa 1952-4 Farmall M...not sure of the year. It has the magneto ignition, and points etc. I am curious as to how to set the timing. We have it running at idle, but it has no power, and it appears that it is firing too late, because the exhaust manifold gets really hot, and flames are coming out the exhaust. Also, does anyone know what the compression should be on those cylinders. Any help would be greatly appreciated
